Health & Safety Information

We take the health and safety of the EDAM community very seriously and wanted to provide an update about safety measures and expectations for conference conduct as the event approaches. We appreciate the excitement shown for the opportunity to have an in-person conference experience once again. In an effort to keep the Fall Conference a 100% in-person event, the EDAM Board has approved of the following provisions:

  • Masks will be required regardless of vaccination status. Speakers may remove their masks while presenting. We ask that all attendees come prepared with their own masks but EDAM will also have some disposable masks on hand at the registration table for those who forget theirs.

  • Red-yellow-green stickers will be available at the registration desk for people to self-select and place on their nametag, indicating their level of comfort with interacting with other attendees.

  • No-contact meal options will be provided whenever possible (boxed lunch, passed appetizers, etc.) and we will set up meal spaces to allow for social distancing as much as possible.

  • We will set up meeting rooms to allow for social distancing during sessions as much as possible.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event spaces.

  • Attendees of the EDAM Fall Conference are responsible for their own health and safety at all times. While EDAM will institute enhanced safety protocols, registrants knowingly and freely assume all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. EDAM is not liable for illnesses or other medical issues arising from voluntary attendance.

  • EDAM events will follow current guidelines including those for large gatherings provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a minimum safety threshold but may also include additional best practices for elevated healthy and safety protocols.

  • Any public space where other people are present holds an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. By attending this event, you agree to voluntarily assume all risk related to exposure and agree to not hold EDAM or any of their affiliates including partners and sponsors, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, or sponsored venues liable for illness. You agree to take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask in public areas when not consuming food or beverage, and frequently washing hands. You agree to not attend any EDAM event if you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 (including but not limited to fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, dry cough, sore throat, loss of smell and/or taste) or had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case.

  • The cancellation deadline to receive a refund for your registration fee is Friday, September 3. After that date, you may transfer your registration to someone else if you are no longer able to attend, but refunds will not be given.

We look forward to gathering safely next month! Please contact us with any questions at [email protected] or (952) 928-4640.
